I have a great love for art and design and creative people. There is never a dull moment in the field of art and design in which life can become rather unconventional at times. My parents and siblings were creative sorts with all kinds of artistic projects going on in our household. My nieces, and their families are in creative / design fields. I married a man that was also a designer and his family were also career artists living in Westport, Connecticut and a studio in NYC. Our progeny have a strong creative gene that is a dominant trait that continues to express itself in many ways. My son, Ryan (a.k.a. Saber) a fine artist with roots in street art is known for the largest wild-style graffiti piece ever created. He now has a wife and two children who definitely have that dominant gene. Here is a picture of my grand-daughter free-painting in the studio at 2 years old.
As for me I am an avid collector of research, reference and "stuff" that stirs my creative juices. As I come across interesting topics and images about art, design, and trends, that are compelling to me I will post here. Most likely content will be rather eclectic for I enjoy many forms of art and styles that have influenced my own eclectic approach to art and design.
"My Scrap File" is a place for me to share with you not only Ah!Studio announcements, but also other posts about art, design, trends, and things that inspire me, and in turn may inspire you.
